concrete

concrete develops concepts.
we develop them in architecture, interior design, urban development and brand development.

concrete unites people.
we work with a team of 46 multidisciplinary creatives as architects, interior designers  and visual marketeers to help businesses and institutions.

concrete loves provoking, confusing, philosophizing, scale models, haute cuisine, burgers, and (most of all) shattering dogmas.

concrete provides solutions.
no grand theories or abstract ideas. just things that work.

concrete likes to let the work do the talking.

Things are changing at the Wallen (Red Light District)
in Amsterdam. Will the bare bordello rooms with their
narrow bed, mirror and red light survive the 21st
Century? What makes an attractive workspace for
prostitutes? What do punters want? Are brothel owners
prepared to invest to modernise the sex industry?
Based on discussions with prostitutes, brothel owners

and punters as well as support and assistance groups
for prostitutes, concrete has developed a design for a
new window brothel. The idea is that the woman’s
working environment should enhance her beauty.
Glowing and organic forms are the blank canvas for the
fantasies of both prostitute and punter. Projections add
an existing, varied and personal element to the workspace.
