concrete develops concepts.
we develop them in architecture, interior design, urban development and brand development.
concrete unites people.
we work with a team of 46 multidisciplinary creatives as architects, interior designers and visual marketeers to help businesses and institutions.
concrete loves provoking, confusing, philosophizing, scale models, haute cuisine, burgers, and (most of all) shattering dogmas.
concrete provides solutions.
no grand theories or abstract ideas. just things that work.
concrete likes to let the work do the talking.
‘La Grande Epicerie’ is the food department of the
famous ‘Le Bon Marché’ department store in Paris,
owned by LVMH. Within the framework of a major
reorganisation and renovation of the department
store, extra space for an expansion and complete
transformation of the wine department ‘La Cave’
became available on the basement level.
concrete was commissioned to design an interior that
would be associated both with a traditional wine cellar
and with the exclusivity and refinement of a 'haute
couture boutique'. concrete realised the design in
close collaboration with the inhouse design team of
Le Bon Marché de Paris. A new type of wine
cupboards was developed, which solved the conflict
between exclusive presentation and stock
management. Positioned in a slight angle to the
walking direction, the presentation bottles are shown
on one side and the presentation bottles with current
stock on the other, allowing self-service.
